Sports (Water Polo)

Where did it all start you ask? Well it started when I was in gym class playing cone done. My P.E. coach was the head coach for water polo at my school. He wanted to me to check out a practice so I decided to go. After that one practice I fell in love with the sport. I still needed some work to do and so much I can do to get better. Ended up catching on really quick while also getting new coach. She automatically pushed me up to playing high school varsity team. There I learned alot and had an amazing experience playing with top water polo players in South Florida.

Played water polo throughout middle school to college at D1 level. I was lucky enough to also play with the Junior National Team of Puerto Rico. With PR I went to two big tournaments in Argentina and in Spain, the panamerican games and the world games. There we played top countries with amazing players. We were a small team but we held our ground.

In high school my team won states 1 time while I was there but had gone to states multiple times. Our team had amazing players who signed to top schools for water polo. My senior year I signed with a small D1 school, Siena College. I moved up to Albany, New York from Miami, Florida. Big change but I loved it. Entering my freshmen year I unfortunately had surgery that summer leading up to starting school. I had torn my labrum pretty bad and got 5 screws. I went to PT and got a lot of work done to make sure I was ready for season. I went in to season thinking I was not going to play the first few games but my coach needed me since some girls were sick. I played every game after that and my shoulder kept getting stronger and felt like I was able to do majority of what I was able to do in high school now in college but with a fresh arm. Ended up starting my four years and had the best time with the girls. Learned alot and gained some of my best friends who I still talk to today.

I gradated and was not sure what I really wanted to do with my Major. So my family suggested being a personal trainer since I loved working out and helping people. So thats what I did. From there I have worked with many athletes ranging from middle school to college. So far it’s been a great experience with working with so many athletes who play different sports. I hope to expand to working with more pro athletes.

My dream and goal is to have a gym that has the best atmosphere and gym equipment. The space will find everyone's needs whether that is boxing, body lifting, powerlifting or just working out. I picture it to be the place where everyone wants to workout and meet people. Community is big part of owning a successful gym.
