• Hello,

My name is Dani Fuertes. I am a personal trainer located in Charleston, South Carolina. I have played multiple sports my whole life. My main sport was Water Polo. I started playing in 4th grade and played all through college. Once I was able to officially compete in school my coach had me playing not only on the middle school team but also the high school varsity team. I played with the top players in South Florida. Our team had won states once and was runner up another year. My senior year I was captain and led my team to an almost undefeated season. We lost one game!

I also played with my club team Riptides, located in Miami, FL. We played at the Junior Olympics in California every summer before school started back. There we would play against the best club teams all over the U.S. My Junior and Senior year in high school I was on Puerto Rico’s Junior National Water Polo team. With Puerto Rico we qualified to play at the Pan American games in Argentina and the World Championship in Spain.

I played at Siena College, a D1 athletic program. I started all 4 years and entered my freshmen year coming off a shoulder surgery. There I played a total of 117 games, 44 goals, 40 assists and 40 steals throughout my years there (senior year not posted).

After college I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. My friends and family suggest I be a personal trainer since I love to lift and help athletes. That is where my career started as a personal trainer. My first job was in Baltimore, MD. I worked with Resultz Training and there we worked with a club organization called Coppermine Club Sports. While working with Resultz and Coppermine there was a huge range of athletes that I was lucky and able to work with. I worked with athletes ranging from middle school all the way to College in different sports. From there I was able to learn so much especially since, in Miami which is where I grew up, we did not have some of the sports up north compared to FL. I was with Resultz for almost a year then Covid it. I departed and then moved to Charleston, SC.

Now located in Charleston, I worked at a small gym in downtown Charleston. The gym is your typical garage gym with outside turf. I worked there for 4 years not only training but also as the General Manager. There I worked with an Olympian and club athletes as well as the general population. Now I train my clients at Palmetto Pump House located in North Charleston, SC. Pump House is a new gym that is growing fast and building their community unlike any other.

My job doesn’t feel like a job. If it is something that you love doing is it really a job?

I am here to not only help you reach your goal but also to make you feel like you can move freely and to be in a position where you feel comfortable doing exercise on your own knowing the correct way to carry them out. As I have grown and learned more from studying and from my mentors I realized that it is important to learn who you are working with. Being able to correct form on the spot and knowing if they are having an issue that there is a way to fix it.

I’m very enthusiastic about my job, and the loudest one at the gym! I like to think outside the box to make sure we are hitting everything that needs to be hit. I will push you to your limit while having fun.

Would love to be a part of your journey. Let’s get started!

Make it stand out.

  • Honestly, I couldn't tell you the last time I felt this balanced and strong. Dani did a great job pushing debut also listening to things I wanted to work on. Dani also had so much creativity with different moves that I definitely never felt born or not challenged. I think part of why I've been feeling so good through my pregnancy thus far due to all the work you've helped me with.

  • The only reason I tried to get back into it is because I liked you as a person and you're a great trainer. You taught me a lot about exercises I've never done before. Like those Kettlebells!I believe you know what you're talking about, you are great at demonstrating the movements and how they should be done. You're a great communicator inside and outside the gym. The most important part is that you care. You're easy to get along with and I feel like your workouts are effective.
